WESTECH HAS BEEN APPROVED BY PADEP TO EXPAND OUR LIST OF CERTIFIED DRINKING WATER ANALYSES

Effective February 8, 2005, our laboratory has been accredited by the PA DEP for additional drinking water analytes. The analytes from which we are now accredited for include Copper, Fluoride, Nitrate as Nitrogen, Nitrite as Nitrogen, Sulfate, Lead Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Group 1, VOC Group 2, Total Trihalomethanes (TTHM), Escherichia coli, Total Coliforms, and Heteratrophic plate count. Please refer to our Certifications and Accreditations section of this webpage for a complete list of accredited analytes from which WESTECH is certified for by the PA DEP (State Laboratory ID: 22-00578).

PRESS RELEASE: WESTECH HONORED

Harrisburg, PA (October 25, 2004)- Today, the Central Penn Business Journal announced and honored the top fifty businesses that have made significant contributions to the growth, strength and success of the Central PA region. The eighth annual Top Fifty Fastest Growing Companies awards breakfast was held at the Hilton Harrisburg & Towers. AMERICAN WESTECH, Inc. is proud to announce its rank of number 45 on this year's list.

During the Top Fifty Fastest Growing Companies awards breakfast, the ranking of the fifty winning companies was announced for the first time. Emcee for the event was David Schankweiler, publisher of the Central Penn Business Journal. The breakfast and award ceremony featured guest speaker Jay Sidhu, Chairman, President and CEO of Sovereign Bancorp, Inc.

In order to be eligible for nomination, companies needed to show revenue of at least $500,000 in each of the fiscal years ending 2001, 2002, and 2003 and show revenue growth in 2003, as compared to 2001 (a three year period). Eligible companies were to be for-profit entities headquartered in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry or York County.

Nominees were then ranked according to revenue growth over the three-year period of 2001-2003. Both dollar and percentage increases were taken into consideration. This ranking formula, implemented by Seligman Friedman & Company P.C., led to recognition of the 2004 Top Fifty Fastest Growing Companies, consisting of both large and small companies.

In addition to the awards breakfast on October 25, the 2004 Top Fifty Fastest Growing Companies list was published, in rank order and with information on their financial growth, in a special supplement to the Central Penn Business Journal, which will be inserted into the October 29th issue of the Business Journal.
